H.J. (Hal) Miller

With experience spanning a broad spectrum of technical, strategic planning, and financial areas within the energy industry, Hal is widely recognized for innovative problem solving. Prior to founding Galway Group (2003) and Galway Capital's (2002) predecessor company, Cornerstone Ventures, Hal held a variety of engineering and operating positions with Phillips Petroleum and Colorado Interstate Gas. He also held senior marketing, planning, and business development positions with Transco Energy and The Williams Companies. Following these ventures, Hal was responsible for the start-up and development of Transfuel Resources, an indirect subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. Through Galway Capital, Mr. Miller is registered as a General Securities Representative (Series 7), General Accounting Principal (Series 22), and General Securities Principal (Series 24) with the FINRA (www.finra.org). Hal holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and an MBA from the University of Colorado.


Robert G. (Bob) Hardy

Bob's experience has focused primarily on the legal and regulatory aspects of energy project development. He was a partner in Andrews & Kurth's Washington, DC office from 1978 until 1993, primarily representing Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation before federal agencies and courts. He has specialized in energy regulation and has practiced before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Congressional subcommittees, the National Energy Board of Canada and various state agencies and federal courts. In the 1990's he served as regulatory counsel for Gas del Estado - the Argentine national gas company - in connection with the successful privatization of Argentina's natural gas industry. Bob participated in the formation of Cornerstone Ventures, L.P., now Galway Capital, in 1995 and the Galway Group in 2003. Through Galway Capital, Mr. Hardy also is registered as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) and General Securities Principal (Series 24) with the FINRA. He holds an undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Duke University and a J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


Jeffery R. (Jeff) Pendergraft

With over 35 years of energy industry experience, Jeff’s background includes executive management roles, as well as private placements, public debt and equity financings, merger, acquisition and venture transactions. Prior to joining the Galway Group, he founded the Wind Rose Group, an energy investment and advisory firm. He has served as a Board or Advisory Board member to several companies, including his position as Chairman of HNNG Development, a company focused on commercialization of low BTU natural gas. Earlier in his career, he served as the Chairman of a $2 billion refinery venture, and as the Chief Administrative Officer of Lyondell Chemical Company, a $12 billion chemical and refinery business. As a senior corporate executive, Jeff has arranged public and private financings and led numerous strategic transactions valued in excess of $40 billion. As an investor, he has evaluated more than one hundred energy and technology investment opportunities, structuring transactions and investing in several over the past few years. As an advisor, he has consulted with management and private equity firms and investors on growth strategies, mergers and financial plans, and has negotiated a variety of transaction documents. Jeff holds a J.D. from Stanford University, School of Law.
